Abstract

In The Unexpected Kingdom, Yasmina, a young Filipina nurse, confronts and overcomes her deep-seated fears and prejudices upon arriving in Saudi Arabia. What she discovers is a vibrant, modern, and compassionate culture that defies her expectations. Through personal and professional experiences, she finds beauty, humanity, and belonging in an initially misunderstood land.
